PRIMARY DELINEATOR

Dec 24: Closing Read For the shortened day, signal weight closed very strongly positive, the Change essentially zero. With the Primary now at +9458 (+12200 old) it's now in overextended territory. We should expect a slope change down on Monday as any further gains from here in price will be unsustainable setting up a reversal.
Dec 24: Opening Read Trading Model Achieves Target Signal weight continues to hold in strongly positive at +1169, the Change -5. The Primary is approaching overextended levels now. The trading model achieved the profit target of 112.19 just after the open.
Dec 23: Closing Read Signal weight stayed strongly positive all day and a slope change down was not in the cards for today. Tomorrow is a half day and typically not much happens, but we'll see. Obviously, we're at that point again in the cycle where we'll need to see equally strong signal weight tomorrow as today otherwise a slope change will occur. This would be more likely on Monday.
Dec 23: 10am and final post until after the close Signal weight now only +391, TTXSlope=3.6 bars. This is the last post for me today folks until after the close. I'm flat in my trading account and going to play golf. Tomorrow is a half day so...happy holidays!
Dec 23: Opening Read Signal weight has opened strongly positive at +1333, the Change +23 as the old highs are being tested.
Dec 22: Closing Read Any negative signal weight tomorrow will conclude this cycle, otherwise expect it to continue to retest the highs of last week.
Dec 22: 11am Signal weight now weakly positive at +476, the Change -40, TTXSlope=6.7 bars which is still quite a ways away. Unless signal weight stays above +600, we'll get a slope change down later today.
Dec 22: 10:12am Signal weight increasing to +1120, the Change -12. The trading model is still long SPY at 111.19 with a gtc exit at 112.19. End of the year trading typically gets lighter volume but the moves are magnified somewhat.
Update 10:45: Signal weight erroding to under +700
Dec 22: Opening Read Signal weight moderately positive, the Change -27. Expect the highs from last week to be tested today as long as signal weight remains moderately to strongly positive.
Dec 21: Closing Read Signal weight strong all day, the Change -2 at the close. Signal weight will need to be positive in the morning to keep this cycle intact, otherwise the process of the next slope change will begin.
Dec 21: 3:12pm With signal weight +1350, the Change just went negative.
Dec 21: 2:22pm Signal weight holding +1444, the Change now +10, the Primary +1507 rising at +393 ticks per bar as the Change approaches zero.
Dec 21: 11am Signal weight +1414, the Change +44. We should expect the value of the Primary to pass zero shortly. With the Slope +260 and the Change +44, we probably won't see the Slope get to +500 or more so we shouldn't expect to see the Primary get to +4000 on this cycle unless signal weight goes above 2000 which isn't too likely. Hence, this cycle might be shorter than the typical cycle.
Dec 21: 10am Enter Long Confirmed at 111.19 The enter long signal has confirmed at 111.19, the trading model is long at that price with a gtc exit at 112.19. Any move lower in price this bar or next can be bought.
Dec 21: Opening Read SLOPE CHANGE CONFIRMED, EARLY ENTER LONG SIGNAL ISSUED Signal weight strongly positive at +1323. The Slope change has confirmed and an early enter long signal has issued that will confirm at 10am if signal weight exceeds +1050.
Dec 21: Pre Opening The Market's trading up pre-opening so we can expect that signal weight will be positive enough to confirm the slope change just after the open.
Dec 18: Closing Read Early Slope Change Issued Nothing like an end of day end of week signal. Obviously, Monday's opening signal weight will determine if we get a confirmation of the slope change as they cannot confirm at the end of a day. The trend of the Secondary is still up and hence if we do get a slope change, we'll also get an early enter long Monday morning as well.
